Relevant at the moment here in Cornwall as rare turtles are washing up on local beaches because of storms. They might appear dead, but (unless they're decomposing) could still be alive. If you find one, try not to handle it; call British Divers Marine Life Rescue and keep people and pets away.

Most turtle species in the UK will be suffering from hypothermia. Putting it back in the sea will kill it. STOP! DO NOT warm it up immediately. We have been together for over 25 years. During that time, my beloved has steadfastly refused to have anything to do with the commercialism of Valentine's Day, claiming he will buy me flowers on his own terms (which these days is almost never). Until yesterday!
