One of my majors in undergrad (1989) was criminal justice. The second week of class we covered Habeus Corpus/due process/Miranda. So I often forget that not everyone knows about this.

Somehow when the head of the Dept of Ed, a billionaire wrestling executive known for destroying her wrestlers health and livelihoods starts talking about student debt not being a “victimless crime,” after gutting the department, I can’t seem to see her point.

I teach Leadership, Ethics and Social Impact, and Supply Chain Management at a University with many international students on student visas. This is not a good time right now.

If you enjoy mail-in ballots in Washington State, not having to take time off of work to drive/bus/train/walk (depending how remote the voting site is to your district) to some random location and wait in line at a voting booth, please comment here on HB 1584 which proposes removing mail-in ballots.

You do NOT have to speak to ICE without a JUDICIAL warrant. If they attempt to enter your home or your workplace, ask for a warrant. Sometimes they will try to use other, non qualifying paperwork. They need a warrant.
