One of the moments I treasure most as a priest is vesting for the Eucharist: the quiet ritual of prayer and preparation before stepping into mystery. Each short prayer as I vest draws me deeper into the grace of what we’re about to celebrate: the Sacrament of Love.

Blessed All Hallow's Eve. Today we remember that all is sacred. We are all called to holiness - to friendship with God.

Even the parts of ourselves that feel like monsters and ghouls, the pieces we hide behind masks, the things we want to disguise afraid they’ll make us unlovable.

Love Teilhard and love Wikwemikong (Ontario).

As a Jesuit, I had the honor of living six months in Wiky, serving at this parish (Holy Cross) with the incredible Father Doug (Mac) McCarthy.

“Does God really forget our sins?”

That’s the question Anthony Grasso (Fabien Frankel) wrestles with in the latest episode of Task (HBO). He wants to know how God will deal with all his past sins.

Calling all Christian ghouls, saints, and scripture sleuths!

I am planning a Spooky Evening Prayer. Think of it as a candlelit service filled with mystery, beauty, and a touch of the spine-tingling!

Help me build the perfect atmosphere:

Happy Feast Day of St. Benedict of Nursia (480-550).

I’m grateful for the Rule of St. Benedict, for all Benedictines, and for monasticism.

I’m sad. I’m disappointed. I’m disgusted.

Today, I grieve.

Tomorrow, we continue the struggle for justice.

“We have to fully break away with being a real estate business with very nice people, who hold shareholders meetings once a week… We need to move away from being a property trust to embrace being a network of communities of faith that fully trust in the future God has for us.
