You'd have a point if Epic weren't right there. Epic both has the money and is willing to spend it and is fine with loss leading during that time. The issue is the twits put that money towards buying exclusivity and free games to giveaway rather than on adding basic features and innovating new 1/2

It isn't Steams fault that no one else can make a decent fucking launcher. We got the featureless, buggy, exclusive buying piece of spyware trash that is Epic. Origin or whatever its name got changed to fell on its face. Same for uPlay. GOG is the only one managing to get close and even then, 'eh.

If 5E 2014 had the free flowing three action system of PF2E instead of action/bonus/move, and better keywords/rules writing it'd be the perfect system to me. Wish that had been the direction they went in with the 2024 rework instead of... the nonsense that they did.

The one thing I'll give Magic is that it didn't get stupid like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh. The mechanics for those two just kept stacking and stacking and warping under the strain to the point of absurdity. Magic pisses me off with UB and all, but the mechanics/gameplay of Magic has stayed consistent.

Agreed. Look, the number of times I'll see a comment or post on the anime sub on Reddit(An American site with a majority American user base and majority English speaking userbase) using the Romaji title for an anime, including ones that are well known by their English names, drives me bonkers. 1/2

Well, best I can figure is something involving fire, ice, and "life" magic being cast on the shield. Cast some ice spell on the shield. Burn it away/melt it with some fire spell. Then... I don't know, Druid does Druidcraft or similar to make plants grow on the shield. Or paladin cure wounds.

I feel like we need a lot more context than that lol. At best I'm left wondering if the letters you capitalized (B F L) have anything to do with it.

I keep meaning to start a new playthrough of IX, using the Moguri mod, but then I get reminded of all the new games I've bought and still need to play/finish. But the siren call of IX remains.

even Final Fantasy. Those can generally fit in fine thematically. Spider-Man? Avengers? TMNT? Absolutely not, stop it. Seriously. Four sets a year, maybe five, and only one can be UB and it must fit thematically. I'd stop complaining, so would most people. But nyope. 2/2

Like, the current UB situation just has me twitching. While I'd prefer there be absolutely no UBs, at least as far as Standard sets go, could they at least keep it to just one UB set a year(Fucking four) and make sure that said Universe fits thematically? Forgotten Realms, Lord of the Rings, 1/2
