if you watched Andor, the main city in the show, Ferrix, was directly modeled on a British city but, in spirit, Ferrix is a hell of a lot like Baltimore - a majority minority, working class city the Empire loves to grind down for profit - and full of resilient, hard working, independent people

in the meantime my house in Baltimore is in foreclosure, I don't have a full work permit or residence permit in Poland, and in 2 days the Polish fash will be marching with torches through the streets screaming about queer people like me; I'm thankful for work but lord, these are difficult times

one thing Chicago did is use Little Free Libraries as an easy way to distribute flyers with info on how to use whistles to alert neighbors, how to organize, etc - those LFLs are all over Baltimore as well
