Dragon Quest VII is being remade again, 10 years after the 3DS version! I really enjoyed playing through this on the PS1, but for some reason the 3DS version was just okay to me. Either way, I will pick this up again on Steam and beat one of the longest JRPGs for a 3rd time #blutoid

Dragon Quest VII is being remade again, 10 years after the 3DS version! I really enjoyed playing through this on the PS1, but for some reason the 3DS version was just okay to me. Either way, I will pick this up again on Steam and beat one of the longest JRPGs for a 3rd time #blutoid
One of those “I really don’t have anyone to talk to about this” but in grief form. Mark Volman of the Turtles (Happy Together) passed away today. I grew up loving The Turtles, they were like the Beatles for me. Truly sad and shocking may he rest in peace

Completed Leisure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude with my gf. A surprisingly decent game with entertaining dialogue, despite bland and often overly difficult minigames. Decent PS2-era boobage as well. I told my gf “not only have I discovered you like point and click games, but smutty ones!” #blutoid

Pleased with the state of Xbox emulation, as I beat Conker Live & Reloaded on my Steam Deck via Xemu Emulator. 90% of the game ran at 60fps with very little hiccups. Conker holds up very well, and I believe it is the definitive way to play the game #blutoid

Recently, me and my gf have been playing games together (she will read off a walkthrough while I play) and we completed Fatal Frame 1. Solid 8/10, unique combat, and some good storytelling and lore. She gave it a 9, and is eager to move onto Fatal Frame 2 #blutoid

I just noticed this piece of my 3DS has chipped off. Crazy thing is I got this 3DS over a decade ago from eBay so now I’m wondering if its always been there and I never noticed or if it recently happened, but I’ve never dropped it or anything. Weird #blutoid

Today is #DragonQuestDay! To date I’ve beaten all the mainline DQ games except for DQ2, but with the 2D-HD remakes of 1+2 coming in October, that will change! Here’s an old DQ-inspired article header image I did for the Comments of the Week series a few years back on dtoid! #blutoid

It’s a shame the Metal Max games have not really been localized in the US. Some of the enemy designs such as with this attack chopper/dog hybrid are some of the most creative enemies I’ve seen in a JRPG #blutoid

Wow this month’s Humble Bundle really makes up for the past two month’s (for me) with Evil West and Eiyuden Chronicles which I thought was a surprise addition! I’m hoping Evil West runs well on the Steam Deck. Either way I’m picking this bundle up! #blutoid

I thought I'd share some minor progress on my Columns clone I'm making with monogame. Got tilemaps to work and basic controls and gameplay. I haven't been working on this too much but still happy with how its progressing #blutoid

In wake of THPS3+4’s announcement, I have been playing the ReThawed mod. Having every character available in the series to skate as is astounding, but the customization options really make this one special. You can customize UI elements, and choose your preferred game physics! #blutoid

So Activision confirms that THPS4 will follow the same 2 minute session structure as 1-3. So 3+4 really is just a lazy cash grab? Mind you I was in it for 3 specifically but this is pretty saddening nonetheless. I suppose there’s less of a chance Underground will be remade #blutoid

Worked on my Columns clone in monogame framework. Developed with all code (no interface to work in like with UE5 or Unity) I must admit that I did have help from ChatGPT for some aspects but my goal is learning and getting better at game development #blutoid
