The language used around trauma is so important.

Offering
"curses"
as an explanation for trauma is wrong, simply used to be emotive and shows a limited or even lack of understanding of trauma.
It also offers abusers an excuse and there isn't one.

Abuse is abuse!

ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) can and often do result in C-PTSD, recognised in the UK but not yet in the USA.

As a perfect ten on the ACEs score, C-PTSD is something I have had to deal with my whole life, even before I knew it was a thing.
