I think it's more Ninja Gaiden-y (particularly, NG2) than people were expecting. I love NG and I'm loving this game. I almost feel the opposite of you? Like, it's a NG with "Platinum-y" things in it?

It's definitely still influential but saying one of the most influential games is overstating (especially in 2025).

The single absolute biggest thing you could directly contribute to Halo CE is recharging health/armor. Medpacks have regained popularity but recharging health is still strong today.

The benefit of urinals is for the people who can use them they’re quicker + those people aren’t taking up stalls that other people could be using. It also reduces the number of assholes standing while pissing in a stall. Unfortunately, they also take up space that could be reserved for more stalls.

It goes way beyond return to form even. The lack of character customization and co-op are my only wants from a sequel.
