Beautiful birds. I'm lucky enough to live near a nesting box, and watch the kestrels take flight from there each year. A real privilege.

Gorgeous vibrant colours, Darren. I always assumed that moleskine pages would just disintergrate under a copic. Seems I was wrong. Great stuff! Greetings from the UK!

Lovely portfolio Betsy, was a pleasure to look through. Loved the textural quality of this one. Congrats on finding the time to put it all together. I need to do the same, but am putting it off :P

Oh I'm sure. I was thinking literally today about Milt Kahl's work and wondering what his influence's were. Alot of us folks working in animation look to those guys, I'd love someone to put together a resource on who was inspiring them.

I tried my hand making a little christmas tree ornament this year. Managed to slice right into my hand almost immediately. Good to know I'm not alone.

Outrageously good. I'd love to know the inspiration/ reference he was using to come up with this style. Or if he just pulled it out of his arse because he was a genius.

Controversial opinion but I actually think alot of it is not as true as they have you believe. Theres alot of self fulfilling prophecy involved with old art rules I think. I think some of them align with things that our visual processing "enjoys", and work in spite of the rule not because of it.
