My daughter informed me this morning that my oldest granddaughter’s cousin lost his dad in a homicide in Montgomery, AL.
I can’t believe what that place has become. I’m so glad we left.
Troy Hwy was definitely unsafe. I didn’t like it even in the daylight.
I feel for Hosea.💔

I was fortunate to grow up in an HBCU town around black history makers & constant reminders of black excellence.
People poured into us & expected excellence from us also. It was such a vibe!
It gave us an unshakable confidence & unity that we still maintain today.

Gotta hv strategies so you can still enjoy yr sweets. It’s almost no way to completely avoid all sugar bc it’s incorporated into some foods. We ate Silk non dairy yogurt, for example, but you can reduce the sugar by mixing in plain non dairy yogurt.

Get Lakewood Cranberry Juice, Not From Concentrate. Mix about 15% of juice to 85% water. Squeeze in juice from 1 organic lemon. Sweeten to taste with liquid stevia. (I use 365 stevia from Whole Foods) Add a little liquid cayenne if you can stand it. (I can't)
I'm no gatekeeper either.
