Self awareness is not as easy as it looks. I had to make sure every body part knows if their child parts are blocked so they dont get all tangled up. They get really grumpy when they are tangled.

Took a minute to find a style that works for 'drawn' creature in the editor. I was going to do a pencil style but water color was easier. Since i suck at art, this is 1000% math and burning your gpu. #gamedev #indiedev #Indiegames

More evolution progress. Finalized the Blueprint mechanics and am working on the Sketchpad to design the visuals. I think it needs a bit more crosshatching to really sell the drawn look. Last image is the final in-game version.

working on an evolution game and having fun with shaders. Dynamically changing the creatures in 3d can really slow down the cpu so we decided to go old school for the editor. The fun thing about this is the image (except the text) is generated on the GPU.

Just finished up my water physics and shader, I was shooting for something that would match the style of the terrain. This uses realistic fluid dynamics because why not.

I still think GPUs are magic, you can't convince me otherwise.
