We have another frequently challenged title for you to explore! Elizabeth Acevedo’s “The Poet X” is a novel-in-verse which tells the story of an Afro-Latina teen in Harlem who turns to poetry as a means of expression. The story explores themes of identity, culture, sexuality, and coming-of-age.
