My newest interpretation of #Therizinosaurus. Certainly, the best of the mega theropods ;)

I need to finish all episodes of the new Walking with Dinosaurs, but so far it’s got quite a range of highs and lows.

And also…chat, is there perhaps a faint echo of a paintpaddock piece in contemporary paleomedia?

Many of my colleagues view the story and fate of #Keiko the orca as a failure. I think this underplays the effort and hard work of many smart, passionate people.

We learned a lot about cetacean rehabilitation. Keiko got the dignity of passing away in his home waters, far from his tiny tank.

#Olorotitan joins the paddock! This hadrosaur had a distinct, hatchet-shaped crest that was probably used for visual display and sound production. #sciart #paleoart #dinosaur

An illustration of Mesoplodon traversii, or the spade-toothed whale. There are no confirmed live sightings of this species; everything we know about them comes from dead individuals.

An #Alamosaurus piece I made for my buddy @crikeyitschristian.bsky.social a little while ago. It remains one of my favorite sauropod works, and this species is slowly climbing up on my favorites list.

#Orcas are found all over the world, but few are as striking as the Antarctic varieties. This is a male belonging to the B1 ecotype. Smaller and stouter than other varieties, B1s also feature a pronounced dorsal “cape” and large eye spots.

Nearly a year old, this remains one of my best and favorite pieces. See if you can find the other torvosaur.

The scuffle was mercifully short for the baby Rhamphorhynchus, now crushed underfoot by an opportunistic Compsognathus. Ever vigilant, the little predator surveys its surroundings before digging in.
