Not just a war crime but a level of gleeful sadism that is usually associated with genocidal regimes. We cannot become the land of monsters and mass graves.

She seems nice...

Once witnessed a man trying to force his threeish year old daughter to hug a man dressed as the Easter bunny. Kept nudging her, telling her repeatedly to give him a hug. She kept refusing. Forcing small kids to hug people they don’t want to hug, dulls their natural gut instincts for survival.

How do we know they were drug boats. Where’s the proof.
When the doo doo hits the fan it will be the lower level soldiers talking the hits. A captain so and so gave the order, etc. If the legislators do not grow a spine the top brass will walk.

He’s clownish, obnoxious and fidgety. He has toned it down. No doubt a team of image consultants have retrained him. But when he gets rattled his composure is out the window.

Such a great movie. I’ve watched it twice.

So, illegal orders. No proof. Could all be innocent fishing and leisure boats. Killing people for sport.

They were at that point when the administration orchestrated a revolt and the sheep forced their way into the capitol. Hell bent on maiming, killing and hanging. Wiping their shit on the walls, ransacking offices, beating cops, pissing on the constitution.
Then the pardons. Every damn one of them.

The Ohio govt. pushed solar, people got solar, then they pulled the rug and the companies who owned and installed solar went bankrupt, sold the loans to non solar entities who claim no responsibility for the solar. Homeowners are left with junk solar panels, no maintenance or recourse.

I love del Toro’s quirky over the top styling. I found it a bit refreshing that he omitted the calculated deviousness of Shelley’s monster. His telling seemed a nod to what may well be our own better angels as we navigate our way through a chaotic and often cruel world.

Ha!
Love that.

I give him a pass. The set production, idiosyncrasies are part and parcel of his artistic visual lineage.
He was not trying to parrot Shelley but rather adapt the psychology of the storyline to the present day, where we don’t have to be the monster. We can choose a more noble path.

I always get an uneasy feeling when the Dems “take a stand” on something. I’ve never felt confident that they could go the distance, because they never do.
Tuesdays election should have emboldened them. Instead a handful of traitors just screwed over millions. There should be swift consequences.
