Last week I finished up this very long (10’!) wrap which is the Night Lights pattern by @dreareneeknits.bsky.social. Easy to make with visual impact, I’d definitely try it again.

I gave myself a sewing challenge to try a dress pattern, and chose the Wrap Dress from a Great British Sewing Bee book. And she’s finished!
There were tears, but I learned a lot. Invisible zip! Gathered sleeves! Facings! Understitching! Definitely worth it.

I’ve been knitting several larger projects lately so I pushed myself to finish this one. I needed a sense of accomplishment!
The pattern is Red Katana by Svetlana Volkova. The yarn is Malabrigo’s Caprino in “Matisse Blue” & “Poipu”. A very easy knit, but read the pattern carefully.

It’s been awhile (years!) since we played T’zolkin. It’s so unique with the wheel mechanism, and once you remember the rules, it moves very quickly. A winner that deserves a place in our collection!

Today I finished this bag for @apollosdad.bsky.social, modifying slightly the Fennel Fanny Pack pattern by Sarah Kirsten so it will work more as an over the shoulder bag. Big enough for a phone and sunglasses.

This was a nice lowkey weekend catching up with friends and playing games. Pictured are Skyjo (light and fun family card game) and Calico (medium weight strategy game). Also tried Living Forest for the first time and it got a thumbs up.

Tonight our friends introduced us to Suddenly Last summer and it was everything. Camp! Drama! A throne elevator! Pointy bras! It’s a psychological thriller that wraps up like a Christie whodunit. Recommended!

Just in time for Spring (oops!) I finally finished the cardigan I’ve been working on for a few months. Honestly it feels like the best I’ve made. Soft, textured, and fits just right!
