Ah, so NI on pensions.

Got you.
November 27, 2025 at 8:19 AM
As an aside, they actually don't.
If you have a car that does 15mpg, they're paying over 41p per mile. 16p of that is fuel duty.
If you have a car that does 60mpg, they're paying 10.4p per mile. 4p of that is fuel duty.
Both cars are going to be wearing the roads just as much.
November 27, 2025 at 8:18 AM
And you think they'll be exempt in future from a pence per mile?
Once they have it running, everyone will pay it. In addition to fuel duty.

I called it years ago when that can was kicked down the road.
November 27, 2025 at 8:12 AM
tax on pensions? Where?
November 26, 2025 at 11:11 PM
They've already fucked over EV drivers once today.
I think we can save that for another year.

When they fuck over ICE drivers with the same 3p per mile (next year, I reckon, maybe year after)
November 26, 2025 at 11:10 PM
I mean, if we're talking about top rate of NI, this is 2%.

It's hardly life changing amounts.

Skyfall was ace - explaining his history
November 26, 2025 at 11:06 PM
Exactly. If she came out and said "Right, no more fiscal drag, but you'll all pay 2% more tax", she'd be slaughtered by Reform voters and Daily Heil readers.
November 26, 2025 at 5:01 PM
I'm completely confused.
Which rates are hitting the poor and pensioners?
The pensioners who are getting hit by fiscal drag are getting triple lock, making the state pension far more than it should be.

No-one has the balls to kill that one. Because mostly old people vote.

But he's promising us that the Jews (sorry, I meant immigrants) are the cause of all of our problems and that we'll have an Aryan race with a land of honey.
November 26, 2025 at 4:54 PM
That's a lovely and succinct way of putting it 😂
November 26, 2025 at 4:53 PM
Surely it depends where you play?
Around Southampton, strangely, there aren't that many courses. So the ones that are there, particularly in the summer, you'll have a 10+ minute wait per hole.
November 26, 2025 at 12:48 PM
I'll be honest, I drank beer/lager and kind of enjoyed it. Then I discovered as you say "resinous" beer. That's a game changer. Although I to like a mix of resin and citrus hops.
November 26, 2025 at 10:37 AM
Mine's still called 5G Covid Control
November 26, 2025 at 10:33 AM
I'm the same. Weird.
November 25, 2025 at 9:35 PM
Then go read the OP again.
That's whataboutery in the extreme!
November 25, 2025 at 7:53 PM
OK, let's take Communism then. Extreme left. Taxes are theoretically not possible, but in practice, because state-owned companies are not restricted to the state, there are low rates of tax involved.
As for the state, not only can you not come in, but you can't go out!
November 25, 2025 at 7:47 PM
I think you're getting your politics muddled.
Perhaps you should study socialism. It's founded on taxes and wouldn't work without.

Or are you saying that socialism is right wing?
November 25, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Same with a recent gig where I quickly bought tickets on the first day they were available.
There were perhaps 200 of us at a venue that can host over 2000.
The worst thing was, the band was decent!
November 25, 2025 at 4:30 PM
As an aside, Libertarianism is regarded as neither left, right or centrist. I never said I signed up for that either.
I'm not sure where you got that from.
I said I support legal migration, based on criteria for necessity.
November 25, 2025 at 4:26 PM
That's one interpretation.
Every single country in the world has immigration policies. Switzerland, Norway and Estonia are regarded as the most libertarian nations in the world. All 3 have strong immigration policies, Switzerland in particular.
November 25, 2025 at 4:23 PM
Another one.
Why are you following a British account, then arguing with people when you don't know nuances of our language?
November 25, 2025 at 12:04 PM
You are aware that this is a British account? Nonce is something that few British people wouldn't know what it meant.
November 25, 2025 at 12:03 PM
That's not at all true, particularly as people get older.
I appreciate you're probably a twenty something buck, wanting it 5x a day.
I can promise you, as people get older, that changes. Considerably past menopause.
