A mythopoet, if such a term could hold the weight of failure & ambition, of stories stitched from the dust of forgotten gods & the cold bones of old worlds. My first graphic novel, Pantheon: Heterotopia, is both a labor & a lament. 2 more volumes followed
This line perfectly captures the cruel paradox of regret: always too late, yet perpetually lingering in the now.

A gentle reminder that the past is a graveyard, & your memories are the flowers you forgot to bring.

Perhaps agile ones will survive. But thriving?

That takes more than bylines.

it takes platforms that pay. Till then?

The real kleptokakistocracy might be the economy that treats truth-telling as charity work

Sure.

Local action is vital.

And so is vigilance.

Kleptokakistocracies thrive in the cracks where outrage dies & apathy grows.

True, but today's twist is darker. The neo-Peronist GOP fuses fatcat greed w/ populist demagoguery. Billionaires like Musk recast themselves as folk heroes, co-opting democracy & silencing dissent. Kleptokakistocracy now comes with a messianic PR spin, making the grift harder to spot & resist.

When a private fortune outgrows nations & media becomes a puppet, the line between governance & grift dissolves. Democracy doesn't die in darkness, it's sold off, headline by headline.

People are seeing themselves in Derrick. That's terrifying.

He was supposed to be a mirror. Now he's a megaphone. If you read it & felt something (anger exhaustion or even relief) thank you. This story is yours now. Run with it. Burn it down.

Or maybe just crack the mirror.

I pivoted anyway. Fine. "Render it in the early Heavy Metal style"

The Ai sputtered, whirred, & spat out something passable. A shadow of what could have been.

The supposed master of mimicry buckled under its own weight, spitting out something about copyrights & a mystical cut off date of 1912. 🙄
Refused to touch anything postmodern, let alone the sacred works of Moebius. A halfbaked response from a halfbaked prophet.
