I don’t even blame engineers (entirely). I’m sure it’s a giant hotpot of: shitty, bloated middle management, and unrealistic / unnecessary “goals”/“innovation”/“features” trickled down (demanded) by the dumb and certainly unnecessary, pressure from a board of already-too-wealthy human shitheads.

I really want to love the Apple software again. But it absolute boggles my mind that a company whose market capitalization is greater than the GDP of all but six countries in the world, can’t get their shit together. How many engineers do they employ you think?

It’s been a jarring experience, even since the first beta following WWDC. I tried to rationalized to myself the shift in design language and trust in Apple’s direction. But i should remember Ive is no longer there. The quality checks - no, requirements - are long gone.
