Idea, they give you a useless Pokémon early on. After halfway, you get a special evolution stone for them that evolves differently based on level.

As a side note, Gamefreak should hire the competitive players during beta test. Not to look for bugs, but to test balance, and build the strongest competitive team possible with everything available to them. Record their team. There's your post-game fights.

I felt like he should have died with the flaming parachute. Then again, I always figured Cruise had a ton of scripts for each movie in case he died doing a stunt because... well, it felt like that's what he was going for.

It also suggests the possibility of a "crash in" which sounds like your intense panic somehow helped you stumble through a series of harrowing situations to a better outcome than you were expecting. I would like to crash in, now.
