Hubble - HST is probably the most well known scientific instrument of all time. NASA (with help from ESA ❤️) intended to pack inside a bus sized tube a vessel to learn more about the universe, but we ended up discovering ourselves. Where are we from? Why are we here? What can humanity do next?

International Space Station - This wasn't NASA alone, but without the space shuttle it couldn't have existed as is. For being the most expensive single item ever constructed by humanity, it has provided countless benefits for medical research and sciences, and cooperation between adversarial rivals.

Voyager - But wait, those launched back in the 70s. What are these doing for us today? They are so far away that we can measure our Sun's influence on interstellar space. And its powered by a material that we 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 make again today without a $𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 investment because solar can't work that far

STEREO, others - NASA maintains a range of satellites to monitor the Sun, giving us time to prepare power grids for potentially devastating solar storms. If the Carrington event of 1859 happened again, instead of blackout, damage would be minimal because we have this early warning system (rip st-b)
