We were married in the church my wife painted. It was my mom’s husband’s first time inside a Catholic Church. He said, “This is beautiful. It makes me want to worship. It makes me feel like I need to whisper. But most of all … it makes me feel like I need to listen.” And that is why beauty matters.

Happy Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian! They were Arabs, Christians, physicians, and martyrs. They provided healthcare. For free.

Oop. My mistake. In all my 10 year’s preparation to enter the Catholic Church I forgot to consider that JESUS is the head of the church. Not the Pope. Silly me.

Growing up I actually thought there would be a real scenario where I had beef with someone at school and we would post up and people would circle us and egg us on. Then one of us say, “Let’s settle this like men” and we’d both whip out our Bey Blades and determine the winner to thunderous applause.
