yeah i think personally, collecting faces And voices while actively using chatbots feels very sketchy in terms of data harvesting

from what i read it was questlines requiring the use of the chatbots and the character generation for voice and visuals using genai also

coding use is a bit different than like, for chemistry lab reports, but i think the emphasis is on the fact that they won't learn nearly as well as when they actually try to understand what they're doing, rather than go to a flawed google search for answers

my department has a strict no-AI policy for the class i TA for, which it seems like the students (mine at least) follow pretty well. at the beginning of the semester i told them not to use AI because they could lose all credit for the assignment and they're not learning anything either
