I’m neurodivergent, diagnosed in middle school with Asperger’s Syndrome (as it was called at the time). I’ve always struggled to connect with others due to difficulties navigating the social realm—particularly reading interpersonal cues and understanding social propriety.

I’ve had people treat me like my social divergences are intentional. I am socially an ambivert because of ppl’s backwards understandings. It’s not even just that some people I’ve met don’t understand, but don’t seem to care to try. We are absolutely deserving of being treated as human.
