Day job is putting things on the tele, ‘retired’ new music DJ as half of Earwax Radio and Propaganda Radio Show, can often be found shouting at footballers at the Den.
Allo Darlin were fantastic on Thursday night in Dalston. Been a long time since I’ve been in a room with them, hopefully won’t be as long next time.

Just over a week until seeing Soft Play live. Heavy Jelly is one of my favourites from last year ‘Everything and Nothing’ brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it. ‘Bin Juice Disaster’ made me laugh and I also now have a new found empathy for Worms. Punk is definitely not dead!

Another year, another Shed Seven gig. This one was postponed from October and was the band playing their 1994 debut album in full. Got to hear some of my favourite Sheds deep cuts, always a pleasure to hear Long Time Dead, Missing Out and Mark live.

Up Pompey! The Carter USM live album recorded in October 1993 in Portsmouth and released for some sort of limited record store day/national album thing. Capturing the band on their Post Historic Monsters Tour this to me is them at their artistic peak and this is really a fantastic live recording.

Just the 30 years between first seeing Shed Seven at the Venue in New Cross and Brixton Academy tonight. (I very much enjoyed both)

Well, this was fun last night at the Aviva Studios in Manchester.
The premiere of James: Live at the Acropolis, followed by an exclusive live Q&A.

Highlights for me were “Many Faces,” “Beautiful Beaches,” and my all-time favourite, “Tomorrow.”

Annoyingly had to do some meetings and not listen to music, next random Discogs selection is this rather fine Hip-Hop collection the Daisy Age which was comp liked by Bob Stanley and is currently bringing the warmth on a very cold day.
