There's a lovely Irish bar in St Michel 😁

Serge Gainsbourg's house is open to visit.

Is Patrick Vieira a good manager?

When did people start being in such a rush to predict who'll win the league? It's like they can't wait for it to be over as soon as it begins 🤯

It's funny that the FFers are raging about the Presidential candidate, rather than any issue that affects people outside the party. This party bankrupted the country and here they are, fucking up housing for generations to come, and the only thing that they'll "rebel" against is Jim Gavin.

Unfortunately it seems to be part of th Irish condition to do whatever the hell you feel like, all the time, and if ever challenged about the ethical or sustainable nature of your choices say "I'm just one person, what can I do?"

I hope none of the stick is coming from real Ireland fans. Sammy has given everything in the green jersey. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery...

Come on lads, Bray is my favourite away day... We need wanderers back in the Premier!

Hard to believe the depths these horrible bastards will sink to.

That's not what I'm saying. The number of crashes is correlated with the number of deaths. That suggests that preventing crashes saves lives. Saying that we are fine with the number of crashes but somehow we want them to be non fatal is just wishing.

They pay less motor tax that the old lady in the Yaris. Why? Because we incentivise low carbon emissions, which unfortunately is a system open to gaming

2 people on my street have cars that you have posted images of. I dread to think of what would happen to any Child who might be hit by one of these, even at 30 km/h.
November 4, 2025 at 12:15 PM
Yep, by buying a 2.5 ton suv you make you and your family safer, and anyone you might hit less safe. Mass is central as you say... Could we dissuade people from buying heavier and heavier vehicles therefore reducing the amount of force in collisions?
November 4, 2025 at 12:12 PM
I think they are actually. Last time road fatalities reached a level where TDs were being asked about it, the answer was to lower limits and increase camera operating hours. I don't see any factors other than speed being addressed there.
November 4, 2025 at 10:49 AM
Well since you mention kinetic energy, what's equally important to velocity is mass. So I would say that risk and severity are different. If speed is a contributory factor, then a small vehicle and a large one, if speeding, are at equal risk of crashing, no? The severity would not be equal.
