They’re a fantastic conservation success story. Centuries ago when I was a kid, just glimpsing an Island Fox was like seeing a unicorn. But when I went to Santa Cruz a couple years ago I was shooing them out of the campsite left and right.

I’m pretty sure I make this exact face every single day when I wake up. And I can confirm, am stupid.
