On April 30th, I filed a personal protection order (hereinafter "PPO") against my mother due to her repeatedly overstepping her authority in regards to my financial freedom. The PPO would’ve prevented her from monitoring my finances, would’ve barred her from entering my room without my explicit permission, would’ve prevented her from taking money away from me under the guise of "insurance payments" or "rent", and would’ve prevented her from removing me from the family household. On May 1st, the PPO was denied with no reason given. I have voluntarily decided not to move forward with a hearing on the matter due to the amount of time and work it would take to set up one, and my diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder would make it hard for me to comprehend why I would want the PPO to be put in place. Due to the denial of the PPO, I can no longer safely continue to live in the family household, and have decided to live in my car for the foreseeable future, effective May 22nd, though there is a possibility that the date could be earlier than planned. I feel like I have no chance to be able to find suitable housing in my area, or anywhere in my state for that matter. I have updated the title of my goal on Ko-Fi to reflect this major change in my lifestyle. I feel like I am at peace with my decision in light of my situation that was clearly preventable. This all stems from an IRL situation that occurred nearly six years ago that still haunts me to this day, which led to me dropping out of college due to an overwhelming state of fear, which in turn led me to quitting jobs due to stress, which in turn led to previous statements about ending my life due to a combination of numerous factors, that again, could’ve been easily prevented, and maybe avoided altogether. I would like to advise that I am simply becoming homeless, and taking my own life is clearly not an option here. To my friends that I have met online, thank you for the memories that you have given me over the past six years. I wouldn’t have continued my life for this long without you all. I am terribly sorry that I won’t be able to meet some of you until I am able to find suitable housing. To communities that I am a staff member of, I will continue to perform my duties for the foreseeable future. In accordance with my wishes, please do not call law enforcement regarding my situation, nor refer me to counseling, mental health services, or homeless shelters, nor refer any advice to me regarding this situation. I have already planned in advance as to what these next several weeks will entail. As for my personal requests, I recommend that everyone listen to "FUCK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3" by Skrillex, which released on April 1st, as well as watch "Hurry Up Tomorrow" which releases in theaters on May 16th, in celebration of the creativity and escape of music and film. I’ll hope my remaining time on Earth, wherever I end up, is as pleasant as ever. Fair winds. – TheNintenGuru
