Friendship as an adult is hard. I'm sorry you are having this rough of a time with it, but please know you are not alone in these feelings.

As someone who enjoyed all the first films for that era of DC heroes, it infuriates me that this is still a thing. Folks project so much on this era of comics films, and this Superman in particular. It's crazy that people think their icon of masculinity should be a distant god learning to be human

Hey, how's the press doing under Trump, btw? You get your emails answered?

What an absolute nob

I hear you, but stuff like that honestly just felt like the middle issues of a comic run. Just the random crazy future stuff that happens until the plot comes around to kick the protagtonist's ass.

Season 1 was great! However they immediately ran into the problems that most media do with power copying powers -- ending up with threats that are simply too strong for the story. And they repeated this in multiple seasons!

They look rapt!

In fairness, he probably got the most character development out of anyone that entire season

Will never get over Eddie

Mew was my fav, mostly because it's really cute!

Followed by the Gastly line, because they all look like they are having so much fun

I have never seen someone with their head further up their ass. Well done!

I'd also add that, if there's any one movie I'd recommend on that list as a must watch for a "Hell Yeah Women!" Movie night, it's Ready or Not. That movie has you cheering for Samara Weaving from jump, and leaping off the couch by the end.

Heroes is in the running for the best first season of a superhero show ever, and if you look at longer form shows it's not even close. Absolutely amazing from episode one.

Link?

I hear you, and agree except for how they fight. I just think their styles are very different. Terry is really more of an acrobat hero in the vein of Nightwing. AbsoBruce answers the question "what if you put Frank Castle in Andre the Giant's body."
November 27, 2025 at 7:32 AM
I see where you're going!
November 27, 2025 at 7:17 AM
Terry fights much smarter than this Bruce, who is basically a shonen anime protagonist.

Their villains do have some similarities tho
November 27, 2025 at 7:08 AM
It was an Akira homage for sure. Shin Godzilla, I'm not seeing.

You're not wrong, but here's the thing: Cornish Hens exist, cook in less than half the time compared to a turkey, and taste better. I made the switch 5 years ago and never looked back (even though I do roast turkey drumsticks on occasion 'cause they're awesome)

Death threats are madness and tossing them around for fiction is stupid and needlessly makes the world worse.

That said, that comic was dumb and editorial should be ashamed they greenlit it, especially with a company that size.

Lol, it's just me and my wife this year and our dinner is gonna cost like $100 at least. I did make ham and hens, but still, people are crazy if they think you can do 10 people for 8 bucks a head. That's crazy talk if you intend to give them a decent meal.

I think you can find a way for any color combo to land in at least 2 of the four quadrants.

Red/Green is anarcho-communist community building, but is also the trappings of manosphere types who tell you to avoid vaccines, buy guns, and eat liver 5 times a day.

This is the way
