[The Tale of Bubate] Beware if you're the type to stay up late, for few have lived to tell the tale of Bubate. Legends say that it thrives on the dark; it shrouds the whole room, when there's not even a spark. They say that when sleeping, while your eyes are closed, it slinks up to greet you with an eerie pose. Once you awaken to its shadowy eyes, then it's already too late; no time for goodbyes. It grabs you and pulls you down into the void, where its fellow victims await you to join. They pull, they rip, they tear you apart; they play with your entrails, they gnaw on your heart. They pull out your eyes and put theirs in place. They devour your skin; a crying disgrace. So let it be known that Bubate still lurks, and keep a nightlight handy, 'cause that usually works.
