All of that just to say that Linux has become a lot more approachable that it ever was in the past, and there is a distro for everyone 😅.

The beauty of being tech savvy is being able to help people not throw away their devices whenever big corporations decide they're e-waste lol

I helped a friend install Linux recently and recommended "Mint" as a starting distro but to my surprise they switched to "EndeavourOS" (Arch based) alone

I have the same phone and I haven't looked at the modding scene for it yet, but I'm sure there is going to be a few custom ROMs (after you root it) that will make it receive newer Android updates in the future...

But yeah, I completely agree that planned obsolescence is bad 😔
