Just a nerdy, awkward, stumbling mess of a human, wife, and mother. 📚🐈‍⬛🩵
I think the kitties love their new cat tree, when they aren't being skeptical about it.

Finished Interesting Facts About Space by Emily Austin.
I can see why people love this book, but it wasn't a book for me.
It did have it's cute quirky moments with LGBTQ+ themes and tackled the subject of mental health. I think I would have liked it more if I read it in my 20's.

Its struggling to keep me interested, and it written in a manner in which I've never incountered before.

But.. I will persevere!

MRIs are no fun. They are especially not fun with you're face down, with your upper body elevated, a metal bar stuck in your ribs, and then your hand goes numb 😂

Definitely not ready for the bill either.

My feelings on A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen.

It was interesting and captivating from the start, but I do feel like some instances felt rushed, while others seem dragged out. Also, the twists at the end were easy to spot. But 4/5, I would recommend this book to everyone!

Happy #caturday from this cat napping little Darth Vader. He naps while I read, and if I get up, I get a very adorable stink eye.

My first February read. A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen.

I'm 126 pages in, and the witty banter, the tension between to the main characters, the action, all of it has captured me.

I've had this book on my shelf since March 2024, and I regret taking so long to read it.

I have finished 11 books in January. 2 currently paused.

A total of 4,844 pages read.

From authors: Scott Westerfeld, Rebecca Yarros, Amy Boyles, Melissa de la Cruz, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and Abigail Owen.

Not a bad start to 2025.

Trying to decide what I'm going to read after I finish Extra by Scott Westerfeld.

I like all things fantasy and dystopian. Help a book girl out here!

I've read the Acotar Series and what's released of the Empryean series, with a lot of other stuff mixed in. Shoot your ideas this way.

Finished reading Specials by Scott Westerfeld today.

I have one more book left in the series, but will give it a solid 3.5/5 stars so far. Uglies and Pretties were both very good, but Specials really lost me. Maybe Extras will bring me back in?

That's 10 books done for 2025 so far!

A Wilderness of Stars by Shea Ernshaw is an amazing Young Adult story. If you haven't read it, do it!
But... It left out on a cliffhanger and I really need another one 😭

Halfway through How to Fake it with a Fae by Amy Boyles.
The story definitely captures the disfunctional family dynamic, along with great story telling and witty characters. It has so many layers that bring so much more to the story than the just enemies to lovers/fake engagement tropes

Just finished Cinder & Glass.

It was a really great spin on Cinderella, and I feel like the story captured me very early on, even while the author was still world building.

It was also the first book I've read from Melissa de la Cruz, and will be looking into more of her books!

I was late to the Uglies series, I read book 1 before Onyx Storm released. Today I finished Pretties.
To say I was lost with the way they talked at the begining of Pretties is an understatement, but maybe I'm old.
Still good books though, waiting for the next 2 to arrive!

My reading goal this year is to try and read a little bit each day.
So far ive read every day this month. Finished 6 books, 2 of which are rereads. The longest book I've read was 640 pages and the shortest was 406.
So far, it's been a good month for reading.

Just finished Onyx Storm..

I don't know if I even have words to describe what I'm thinking right now.

Is it time for the next book? I NEEED to know what happens next.

65 pages left, and I'm not ready for it to be over.

I also don't think I can handle whatever @rebeccayarros.bsky.social is about to throw at me in the last bit of the book either, because it's already been a heck of a ride, and it's not over yet.

Is "being emotionally attached to finishing a book" a good excuse to give your boss to miss work? Asking for a friend.
