Millions of diverse plant and animal species and I'm alive to see so many of them!
An eastern box turtle sitting in the grass with wet leaves plastered to its shell. A turtle roughly the size of a silver dollar stands on a concrete porch. A Virginia opossum is visible about 8 feet away from the camera, apparently making eye contact with a large sedge colored dog with a blue collar. The dog's ears are oriented forward in interest. There are dead leaves and vines covering the forest floor. Across an expanse of grass and a wide asphalt path, three white tail deer are visible near a treeline. One has its tail lifted vertically to warn for danger as it heads toward the treeline; a second is looking toward the first deer for a cue. Everything happens so much – but I have a little guy who will run around the woods with me for 2 hours every single day. Honeysuckle and wild roses are blooming. I have the freedom to just get in my car and drive places with my dog.
