CHIBA was inspired by my love of Katsushika Hokusai. I was looking at some of his art while I worked on it, so I want to believe it ended up in there in its own way. I actually "painted" some of the track automations in wave patterns ☺️

My main infuences are hypnagogic pop, trap, lofi, and dancepop. I love using lots of reverb and gating to top things off -- I'm all about ✨️the atmosphere✨️

I think the muscle memory is also crucial as a singer. I don't really give myself a break ig lol
I feel like if I'm not refining my skills across the board (genres, sounds, etc) I'm not really working, or building up the skills. I go in 100% with whatever I am working on (or just playing with)
Musicians: do you practice differently when you are not planning on performing/recording?
