Excellent as usual. Listening to you both bemoaning the energy wasted of political infighting the thought occurs that it is inherent to politicians that they must play politics all the time, even inventing things to play politics about. Was it ever thus and has just become more public?

I've read the book (it's good) and seen the film. It's different but not terribly so and I think it does a good job of the source material. I've always enjoyed it even though many people don't rate it.

I totally missed this in a timely fashion but can I offer a post episode recommendation for EM Forsters the Machine Stops as an early sci fi / dystopia novella of quality

Atomfall is an absolutely gorgeous game that's really great to play as well. Yes it has a couple of little annoyances, but no games are perfect. Would definitely recommend

In fairness I had it running a cut back windows 10 quite well at some point in the not too distant past. It's quite a capable machine in the right scenarios

Yeah that's the one. I got a lot of use out of mine. Excellent little machine for the right workloads. Might have to dig mine back out and try some sort of Linux on it.

Is this the model with the AMD chipset in it that had a superior graphics capability? I have one of those somewhere and for life of me can't remember where I put it.

Absolutely anyone who spends any time typing on a computer should invest in a mechanical keyboard, good ones are under £100 and so much better to use.

Also 3d printers are now super cheap, Bambulabs make excellent ones at entry level prices. real question is why not buy one?

I picked one of those up a few years back basically complete and with some extra metal minis thrown in, awesome. I think I'm now only missing maybe the 5th ed 40k rules from my collection (most of which were mine from when they were released)

The house of commons would need to suspend him for a period of at least 10 days.

My wife is a nurse, failure to declare a conviction of this sort during the registration process is likely to be a bigger issue than the existence of the actual conviction. A lie of ommission would be a failure against the requirement to be of good character

That's a lovely setup.

My kids are showing very little inclination to move out so I think a dedicated gaming room is a long long way off!

I wish I had room to get mine out of the loft, A600 + second disk drive, 1mb additional RAM expansion and a 512mb PCMCIA hard drive. Absolute belter of a machine

Except for some specific scenarios relating to specific hardware/software Win 11 is absolutely fine when compared to Win 10, I.e. exactly the same upgrade scenario as nearly ever other version of windows

It came with Deluxe Paint, which was an amazing piece of software. I would still prefer to use that now over pretty much all the modern image manipulation packages
