Reflections on politics, spirituality & esoterica: 2-party tyranny—National debt—Twelve Steps—More
Already on life support, WaPo died today. I grieve for what was, for most of my adulthood, a reliable paper of record and reporter of fact. (I'm 77). I call for immediate resignation of all editorial staff, and all reporters working in politically sensitive areas.

Please stop running old stories under the "Related Stories" head, adjacent to current reports. It is misleading and catastrophizing. Give them a more accurate head and/or move them to a different section of the site.

I view our government in terms of governance. I view governance in Lincolnian terms: of, by and for the people -- ALL the people.
Trump views it as theater. He views theater as deception with the sole purpose of victory.
By this, he has gathered around him elite and common folk who only seek power.

Clearly and correctly stated. And otherwise (sometimes) respectable media fail is daily by not keeping this simple fact in constant view. They frame the DOJ memo as if it were a SCOTUS decision, or even a constitutional provision. x.com/NewsHour this means you!

Priceless! We're rolling on the floor at our house.
But please:
Be sure to tell us what you find out.
I got the Grindr app mixed up with the Pizza Hut app.
Either way there’s a 10” vegetarian on the way and I’m not sure what to expect.

"He was the best among us," pretty well says it all.

They were/are more than that. They were both skilled, competent leaders, guided by inner light of compassion and humanity. We failed them, and elevated men not qualified to tie their shoes to undeserved heights.
POTUS Carter and POTUS Biden, two kind and decent men who deserved far better than what they got from the country they served.

Conventional wisdom assesses Jimmy Carter's presidency as a failure, and his post-presidency as the greatest in history. The latter is demonstrably true, but the former is not. He was a skilled leader in outrageous circumstances not of his making, and faced vile partisan opposition at every turn.

I ponied up for Wikipedia and the Guardian when I cancelled my WaPo subscription. Can't trust WaPo until Bezos takes himself legally and permanently out of the cockpit. I'll be supporting Wikipedia and the Guardian monthly from now on. Transparency and truth matter.

🚨NEW: The U.S. Senate has passed the Social Security Fairness Act, which will give Social Security benefits to over 3 million Americans. This was championed by outgoing Senator Sherrod Brown and will be part of his legacy!

REPOST to thank Senator Brown for his service!

remember:

We absolutely have to #StandUpAndSpeakOut as we discover and expose as much truth as we can about the #traitors about to try to tear us apart and reshape us into an unrecognizable parody of everything we should be.
