Don’t tell my students, but many times I find it crazy that they come to ME for advice.

I’m tired of seeing all these “what I support” posts. They’re the epitome of virtue signaling. Instead of focusing on what you support, focus on being a good person and making a positive difference in the world. If you do that, I don’t care what you support or whether I agree with you or not.

As many of us are nearing the end of our teaching terms, think about providing your students with opportunities to reflect about all they learned and the progress they have made. Simple reflection questions at the beginning of class with two minutes to ponder work, too.

Would you also like blue sky to be THE thing? If so, take a deep breath, be brave, and delete the other app.

I had challenging mentoring conversations with two students over the past few days. Both needed different support. Reflecting on both, the shared thread of my advice was to consider changing your perspective. With some nudging and practice it’s a powerful persistence and perseverance boost.

This app is the first that feels like it can keep people away from Elon’s misbehaved pet, but I’m worried. With the rapid growth, uncivilized users are likely to join, and I have no clue how we, or the app algorithm, will push them away.
