I was invited to join the NC Association of Educators last week. NC hates unions, teachers, and public schools so I didn’t hesitate joining a union committed to nurturing a student’s career from pre-K on, centering racial and social justice, and fighting for well-resourced public schools.

Some of my students work from the past few weeks. We’re creating “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus”-inspired oil pastel/watercolor resist paintings. This is stage one, am so impressed by these 4/5 year olds!
