Right. I agree with you that this is unlawful and unjust. I was just saying how I think society needs to move past “What does the Constitution say about this?” To critically think of how we can move our country forward without being shackled by what an old document says.

The Constitution no doubt has beneficial laws for our country, but I don’t believe that means we should use it as the basis for everything. Blindly following the rules people wrote down over 200 years ago is partially how we got into our current fascist hellscape.
