Then the real "chef's kiss" of the experience is finding out the damn thing was directed by a member of the Sackler family and thinking "wow, this negative take holds up more than I ever could have imagined" (3/3)

One of the fun things about having a very old @letterboxd.social account is that every once in a while someone will hit "like" on a review you wrote over a decade ago and remind you that the movie in question even exists (1/3)

It cannot be a coincidence that the most reason season finales of the two Prime Video R-rated superhero shows ended on Nine Inch Nails tracks from the With Teeth album.

Might be telling that the two stand-out chase scenes of the year both involve a younger generation finally stepping up to do something about the evil that the society around them has failed to do anything about.

Bro, the lengths they went to in order to bury the largest protest in America since 1970 is obvious:

Well, the NYT sent a form Email to the people who wrote in to complain about their choice to bury "No Kings" below the fold. I guess I'm glad enough people complained to warrant a response but the response sucks. Going to post their form email and the reply I sent to it here.

This Joachim Rønning guy seems to be Disney's go-to guy for competently made sequels that no one asked for. Everyone's got to have their niche I guess.

I think the existence of this guy tricked everyone into assuming it had more of a cult than it did

It looks like the owner of @letterboxd.social's parent company is boosting AI slop on the other site. I am concerned.

These parents seem to be good at naming people.

Caught Stealing is frustrating because it's fun scene to scene but I don't think it really adds up to much and it also has a bit of a mean streak that punctures the enjoyment. Lost a lot of interest when one particular character gets killed off. Also doesn't feel like a Darren Aronofsky movie at all

Looks like we have a trend of documentaries which as the question: "Wait, did they really put that on TV in the 2000s, who thought that was a good idea?"
