Maybe the plan was simply to deliberately tank the US economy (and as many other economies as he could) and destabilize the US govt as much as possible under implied orders by Putin. Sabotage from within. So when the system crashes, it is easy for a more direct authoritarian coups everywhere. Duh.

Maybe the plan was simply to deliberately tank the US economy (and as many other economies as he could) and destabilize the US govt as much as possible under implied orders by Putin. Sabotage from within. So when the system crashes, it is easy for a more direct authoritarian coups everywhere. Duh.

Huh... to make this movie work they probably needed to cut out the Sandman scene if such a feat was possible. Mostly because the retcon of having him kill Peter's father is just cringe at it's worst. Never really was a big fan of the OG Spidey films though anyways. But DID like their spin on Venom

I think in the next year or so, before the next Congressional election, while in the middle of a global recession we will see a mushroom cloud go up overseas somewhere. That won’t be coincidental, and Trump then uses that to declare martial law, and elections are officially over.
