Science research projects shouldn't be picked by high up public facing politicians. They should be decided by an obscure group of academics who have been appointed by a sub-committee of state University department administrators.

It's the lineart. You know how to make characters feel really solid and real. They feel like actual people who could exist.

I think we need to introduce extensive regulation on data collection that makes social media, online advertising, and data scraping infeasible in its current form. It won't solve every problem of the current Internet, but I think it would knock out a lot of it.

My original comment wasn't pointed at you. It was pointed at someone speaking accusingly and very broadly about the people of a state who are far from monolithic.

Cool. Can you have empathy for the 40% of Texans who voted against this? It's even more when you consider this is all happening near Austin, one of the largest Democratic voting parts of the state.

I'm inclined to believe that Mamdani was also successful because of the strong WFP and DSA presence in NYC as well as RCV's ability to create coalitions between aligned candidates instead of worrying about splitting votes. Do you think lightning can strike in cities without these elements?

I get the idea that being isolated with a machine that's designed to only echo back your exact sentiments is not good for you at all.
