Today marks 19 yrs since journalist Anna Politkovskaya, who chronicled the Kremlin's abuses in Chechnya, was gunned down in the elevator of her Moscow apartment building.

Five men were imprisoned for her murder in 2014, but the person who ordered it was never brought to justice.
