Assassin’s Creed Shadows does a lot right, but still has some fundamental Ubisoft design philosophies I consider a miss. I’m not a fan of “terrain as a puzzle”, and I was glad to see it gone in the last three games. It’s back now, and negatively impacts the fun.

Rolled credits on Arkham Asylum yesterday. I didn’t 100% it (I have no interest in hunting down collectibles or outfits I can’t find as part of primary story progression), but it was still great. Now on to Arkham City!

Arkham Asylum is the perfect amount of challenging for puzzles. You have to think, but it isn’t frustratingly hard. That all your learned fighting skills stay relevant throughout is also inspiring. Now I’m off to deal with Poison Ivy.

So I was wondering if my Arkham Asylum game was glitching, because there was some tearing in Batman’s cape. NOPE! As his night in the asylum progresses, he just starts looking more beaten up. AMAZING attention to detail!
