It was so hard to get any facial hair to work in this style at all, but I managed something I think looks decent. Not much to say about Fukami's design besides being a standard, fancy pirate. (His eye under those bangs is red 👀 maybe being in the Sea of Death doesn't agree with him?)

Dolphi isn't based on a real person, but on sirens/mermaids (especially as the figureheads on ships)

Did you know orcas and dolphins are closely related? Dolphi sought out Idate and took a level in badass from him before going into the Sea of Death with the rest of the crew.

Memoca is based on Anne Bonny (visually, with her cool coat)
she's either in the crows nest or fiddling with the canons on The Cast Pearl, Wadda's new ship. I moved her seagull markings to her coattails but I don't know if she has hands? You never see them, so I gave her long sleeves

My design for Wadanohara is heavily based on Zheng Yi Sao (Ching Shih), one of the most successful pirates in history. I wanted a solid change, but I didn't want to get rid of her feminine style entirely. Her seeking justice proactively doesn't mean she 'snapped' or lost herself. I hate that trope.
