After McKay's (David Hewlett) discovery (thanks to the Wraith) of the massive Replicator fleet, the expedition decides it's time to take the fight to them. Be All My Sins Remember'd was written by Martin Gero and debuted on 4 January, 2008. Both Caldwell (Mitch Pileggi) and Ellis (Michael Beach) arrive to aid in the attack, and the Wraith (Christopher Heyerdahl) is still lending his captive aid.

Gold Key Comics reprinted the first issue of their Star Trek comic, Planet of No Return in March of 1975. But the Human Adventure continued in May. This time, there was a story by Alan Moniz, art by Alberto Giolitti, and I'm pretty sure a cover painting, my favorite of the series so far, by George Wison. The issue's splash page hints that an old woman has some strange cosmic power that connects her to a nearby star that is about to go nova, and Kirk believes she is about to explode!

I hadn't seen this movie since I saw it in the theaters. I remember that it was on all the loop tapes we played in the video store I worked in. I saw the clips of the monkeys in the police car, and the animal stampede countless times, so much so that it almost overpowered my memory of the theatrical experience.

Warren Adler's dark comedy novel gets another big screen adaptation. It has previously been adapted to film by Danny DeVito and starred his Romancing the Stone co-stars Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. This time out, Olivia Coleman and Benedict Cumberbatch take on the lead roles of the Roses, a married couple who when adversity hits, and life changes upset their status quo they find out whether they can whether the storm, or kill each other - literally.

Ryan (Ryan Kelly) last seen in the season one episode Stray is back. First airing on 12 November, 2002, Ryan was written by Philip Levens. Ryan makes a desperate call to Clark (Tom Welling) claiming his being held against his will in a hospital that is doing testing on his mind-reading ability. Clark is determined to find his young friend, so he heads to a secretive institute in Metropolis to break Ryan out.

I remember seeing The Beastmaster back in the early 80s on one of the free First Choice/Super Channel weekends. I liked it a lot at ten years old, and hadn't seen it since. So I was curious if I was going to enjoy it. The opening credits and title cards made me dubious, but over all, I had a really good time with this one.

Kate Hewlett returns to Stargate" Atlantis in Miller's Crossing. Written by Martin Gero, this episode was first broadcast on 30 November, 2007. McKay (David Hewlett) returns to Earth with Sheppard (Joe Flanigan) and Ronon (Jason Momoa), when his sister, Jeannie (Kate Hewlett) is kidnapped. Her computer was being monitored and it's all about getting McKay back to Earth, so that they can grab both McKay's - seeing as they are both geniuses, and aware of the Stargate Expedition.

January 1975 got underway with a new adventure of the U.S.S. Enterprise courtesy of Gold Key Comics. Issue 28 featured a story by George Kashdan, and the continued art of Alberto Giolitti and a cover painting by George Wilson. The issue's splash page shows McCoy and Spock under fire from Captain Kirk and Lt. Calder on an adventure set on a wandering asteroid.

Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) is given bodyguard duty when he's assigned to protect an Arabian Prince (Walker Edmiston). He and 99 (Barbara Feldon), who goes undercover in the harem, pair up with Agent 498 (Alan Oppenheimer), from the YENTA agency (a little jab at the Man From UNCLE, which aired on a competing network.) Of course there is oil at stake.

Damn this book is good. It had popped up into my feed as a recommendation, and after reading the blurb I was in. I'm not going to say much storywise beyond the blurb because it's wonderful to see how the narrative plays out. I am going to say, I loved the way Moore crafted her story and brought her characters to life.

Fire and Ash is an experiential popcorn movie. It needs to be seen on the biggest screen possible, and while 3D has some detractors, it is used beautifully in this film. This is a movie-going experience. Having said that, I miss James Cameron's early work, Aliens, The Abyss, The Terminator, and T2, even True Lies. I do like the way he's embraced technology to advance his cinematic achievement, and what he has done with Avatar: Fire and Ash shows that once again, he's pushed it to the limit and beyond.

Carl Binder pens Missing which first aired on 9 November, 2007. Keller (Jewel Staite) and Teyla (Rachel Luttrell) head out on a mission together to see the Teyla's people, the Athosians, in their new home. Unfortunately, when they arrive they discover the colony is missing. The primary suspects are a warrior tribe known as the Bola Kai. And hey look! There's the iconic Danny Trejo!

The Enterprise traveled into more adventure in November, 1974 with issue 27 of Gold Key's Star Trek comic. Ice Journey was written by John Warner and featured art by Alberto Giolitti, and featured another cover painting by George Wilson. The comic's opening splash page shows Kirk and Spock in strange environmental suits on an ice planet where they are dumbstruck by the fact that they have caused the outbreak of a civil war!

Hitchcock pairs with writer Frederick Knott to bring his stage play, Dial M for Murder to the big screen in this captivating and thrilling adaptation. The film features a top-tier cast, the luminous Grace Kelly, Ray Milland, Robert Cummings and John Williams. Everyone has secrets in this engaging film. Kelly is Margot Wendice, a wealthy woman, who is married to a playboy and former tennis star, Tony Wendice (Milland).

I forgot how much I loved this film. This was one of my go-tos in the mid-90s. It was a film I recommended constantly, one I played in the store, and loved Richard Dreyfuss' performance as the titular Mr. Holland. An ode to teachers, the film follows Mr, Holland, as he takes a teaching position as a fallback position, only to find his life's calling, and the effect he has on those he teaches.

Redux first aired on 29 October, 2002 and was written by Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner. There's lots going on in this episode! It seems a number of Smallville High students are aging rapidly. What's causing that? And if Clark (Tom Welling) didn't have his hands full with that, there's more trouble at the school. It seems the new principal, Mr.

Steven Soderbergh is a director that likes to take chances and experiment with his craft, and Presence may be his best example of that to date. It surely won't appeal to everyone, but there is a masterful hand at work here as the film tells its own style of ghost story. From it's opening title credit which seems to be nice nod to Poltergeist, the story confines itself to the narrative's setting, the interior of a house.

Paul Mullie and Joseph Mallozzi wrote Travelers which first debuted on 26 October, 2007. Sheppard (Joe Flanigan) is returning on a mission when he is fired on by a giant starship. Brought on board, he discovers they've been living a nomadic existence aboard ship due to the war with the Wraith (sounds a bit like a familiar ragtag fleet as featured in Battlestar Galactica).

Star Trek #26 from Gold Key Comics, hit spinners in September of 1974. It featured a story by John Warner, and had art by Angelo Todaro and Alberto Giollitti, and featured another cover painting by George Wilson. And I will say this, of all the comic stories in the series so far, this one felt a little more inline with Star Trek storytelling.

Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) has his hands full this week in It Takes One to Know One. Written by Gary Clarke, this episode first debuted on 7 January, 1967. Max is trying to stop a female KAOS agent, Octavia (Gayle Hunnicut). She's been taking out the number two man, and the subsequent replacements at CONTROL. The Chief (Edward Platt) is worried and anxious, as it may let files and codes fall into KAOS hands.

I was itching to explore the Dark Tower series again, and while I was listening to the KingCast, a fantastic podcast about Stephen King and films, and their guest was Bev Vincent, and they talked about his book, The Road to the Dark Tower. I hunted it down with a vengeance, and was delighted to be able to dig into it immediately.

Reunion sees Ronon (Jason Momoa) encountering some of his fellow Satedans and begins to toy with the idea of leaving Atlantis and rejoining his friends. Written by Paul Mullie and Joseph Mallozzi, this episode first aired on 12 October, 2007. The Satedans Ronon and Teyla (Rachel Luttrell - in a new costume to help hide her pregnancy) encounter are old friends, Rakai (Aleks Paunovic), Ara (Kyra Zagorsky) and Tyre (Mark Dacascos).

Gold Key Comics continued to boldly go in July of 1974 with issue 25 of their Star Trek comic. The Dwarf Planet was written by Arnold Drake, featured art by Alberto Giolitti and a cover painting by George Wilson. The splash page gives us a barely clothed Scotty fighting off a giant microbe! Or is Scotty that small? We’ll find out when we delve into the story.

Did we need a prequel to the A Better Tomorrow series that shows us how Mark (Chow Yun-Fat) became the man he was in the first film? Were we wondering where he got his aim, his sunglasses and duster from? I wasn't but apparently someone thought we were. Hark Tsui takes over as director after ousting John Woo after their disagreements on the second film.

I quite enjoyed the Bram Stoker award winning YA novel Clown in a Cornfield, so it made sense that sooner or later I was going to take in the film adaption of the story. It makes me laugh that the book is very much defined as a teen book, but the film itself, because of gore and language ended up with a harsher rating.
