The Mindful Narrowboat

I live on my narrowboat and travel around the UK waterways, taking note of the nature outside my windows and writing poetry about it all. I document what I find in a nature journal and on YouTube. I am also lucky to work for a wonderful Labrador! 🐾🐾🦋🌻
The whole day I looked after it; I checked on it overnight, set an early alarm to get it ready for its big bake. Then I worried about how it was getting on in the oven but when I saw its crusty, little, risen face- well it was all worth it. Of course I can’t eat it now- how cruel!🤭 #sourdough

Another winter continuously cruising on a narrowboat is over and the sense of accomplishment is wonderful! Although, I do love living on the water in the winter. #spring #boatlife #blossom🐾🐾💚

A Poem to the Sun:
You came to visit days ago,
And made the dust and cobwebs glow,
Your presence lifted up the light,
And got me dusting ( rare a sight)
But since the ceiling’s cobweb free,
You’ve not come back to visit me!
Instead the boat is full of grey
The colour that I swept away. 🤭
