Happy we could help out with some reagents, some of which were generated by our Erasmus+ summer intern Auriane.
Non-polio enteroviruses compromise the electrophysiology of a human iPSC-derived neural network
The non-polio Enteroviruses enterovirus-D68 (EV-D68) and enterovirus-A71 (EV-A71) are highly prevalent and considered pathogens of increasing health concern. While most enterovirus infections are mild...

For some new projects in our lab - do you guys use a tool to run and simultaneously annotate bash codes from Visual Studio Code (we are using WSL) that helps up to keep better track on our scripts??

José Luis Duarte de Jesús (Luis) has joined us from Mexico 🇲🇽 for his PhD. He will be having a closer look at enterovirus genomes.
Good luck for the exciting DFG-funded project.

Attention -
somehow our job advertisement for a PhD position has developed a life of its own It is posted now on websites we have not posted it ourselves People have changed the Lab name, we don't know why. People have used a strange email address that is not associated with us, we don't know why

We have a new PhD position in the lab -
Identification and characterization of genomic signatures that lead to non-homologous recombination (the formation of DVGs) in enteroviruses.
Please spread the word and/or apply.

Thank you to Konstantin Sparrer and Frank Kirchhoff for the invititation to give a talk at their iGradU Meeting in Ulm.
Nice Institut, great, hard working students!

Good news on the funding front -
We will be able to generate a lot of experimental data on two different enteroviruses.

With Bartek Liswski (Jagiellonian University, Poland) and Veronika Bernhauerover (Charles University, Czech Republic) in the lead, we will use the data implementing math models

We are looking for 2 postdocs (a molecular virologist and a bioinfomatician with wet lab experience) to work on our ERC-funded InVIRium project! We're based in Montpellier, France and we aim to better characterize respiratory virus replication in pertinent models of primary airway epithelia.
