I loved western civ in high school and university…but German history was mostly in HS and I just don’t remember much. Need to fix that.

I know that in my head…but it still surprises me when things like this come up. Especially considering that the whole country is the size of a state in the US; such diverse experiences!

This is the norm where I’m from. “Mr” or “Mrs” and “sir” or “ma’am” to anyone older than you.

The radiators that they took off the walls were not reinstalled correctly. And one of the windows has been broken since July (they even broke it). The other one has been broken (can’t open, only connected on one hinge) since August.

It amazes me (in the US and in Germany) how different culture can be from place to place. Especially here…it isn’t that far geographically but everything can be different!
