🥺 oh no now I miss them more! Here’s Echo, the other one. They had these fluffy white (leucistic?) patches on either wing.
A fish crow nicknamed Echo displays excellent side eye skills, watching the photographer from a distance or about two feet. They’re perched on a balcony railing overlooking a parking lot lines with lush trees. Echo’s head is tilted slightly, and their sleek black plumage is interrupted by a narrow slash of fluffy white feathers on the visible wing.

I recently moved away from a building where I’d befriended a pair of fish crows. One would take peanuts right out of my hand.

I have still not figured out who leaves an apple in this tree every week, but I will find them and I will make them be my friend.
