Just fought Dualliste in Clair Obscur. This game is unbelievably good. Outside a few exploration issues, everything else is just simply amazing.

I'm at the tail end of Avowed, easily my game of the year so far, and one of my favorite openworld/open zone games I've played. Game Pass is killing it this year. Screenshot is of world 4 streaming to my Steam Deck. Other games I'm tackling is Blue Prince and Suikoden Remake in between things.

I've been digging Pokemon Emerald Seaglass. The 3rd gym battle was tough. My Blaziken will kick you with heat from the tropics, which I hear does get pretty warm in that area.

Completed Alan Wake II today! Good/great game. A few frustrating sections held this back but I overall enjoyed going through Saga and Alan’s intertwined story. Great storytelling along with some of the best FMV I’ve seen in a game. 4/5 stars 6/20 games completed in 2025.

Heroes of Hammerwatch II makes my 5th game toward my goal for 20 in 2025. Have some hefty games coming out soon though that I’ll slow down on.

Finally completed a run in Heroes of Hammerwatch II. Game is still quite buggy but the gameplay is worth putting up with some stuttering. 9/10 great game.

Wrapped up Indiana Jones this morning. While I didn’t jive with the combat as much as I would have liked, it has a strong narrative and even better set pieces. Definitely worth a shot for those curious. 3 stars and my 4th finish of the year.

Made a good dent into my reading goal for the year. 2 five star reads and wrapping up era 1 of Stormlight Archives made for a hell of a January. The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie and East of Eden by John Steinbeck were my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So much charm packed into Astro Bot. I really can’t think of any negatives as this was a complete joy to play through. I hope it gets a sequel. The PlayStation branding didn’t bother me like it did some. 5/5 (3/20 games completed 2025).

Dicefolk was a game I found frustrating at times with the rng mechanic of the shops, but loving it when things work out in your favor and you click with the synergy of your chimera. (3.5/5 stars) 2/20 games of 2025.

The first chapter of East of Eden hits hard. The Grapes of Wrath is my all time favorite, but you can definitely tell his writing style changed over the more than a decade between those two. I’m reading several right now but will definitely move this up in priority.

I’ve finished 22 games this year with a goal of finishing 20. I’m not sure I’ll finish anymore besides Indiana Jones but here are my finished games with ratings. I’m using an iOS app called GameTrack.

Pretty good year for gaming as well. Here is my Steam stats. I love when sites provide data like this. Like a Dragon probably sitting at #1 on my top games of the year.
